Saturday is also Picking, Plucking & Pie at Grandpa Snazzy's in Weeping Water. Bring an instrument or just come to listen and enjoy Will & Kat's tasty coffees, pies and other goodies. Times are 6:30 p.m. until 10-ish.

May 4-6 in the Valley
Lots to see and do in the Scenic Weeping Water Valley this weekend! The first-annual Quilt Show at the Bess Streeter Aldrich House (204 East F St., Elmwood) starts May 5, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and continues May 6, 2-5 p.m. Admission is $5 adults, $3 for children ages 6-12, and free for those 5 & under. Collections of members of the Oxbow Quilters will be displayed throughout the historic home. Also pick up a map for the twelve stops on the Cass County Barn Quilt tour, and while you're exploring the countryside treat yourself to a stop at Dean & Judy's Iris Patch, 28617 Fletcher Ave., rural Elmwood.
The city-wide garage sales in Weeping Water are May 4 & 5. Click here for the Google map of sales. The shops and dining establishments in and around Weeping Water will be open for refreshment and even MORE shopping after your bargain hunt.
