Here in the Scenic Weeping Water Valley, fall is one of our favorite seasons. The countryside is beautiful and full of activity as the farmers start harvesting their crops. The weather is crisp and it is the perfect time to "Escape the City" and "Take a Daycation" to our neck of the woods!
Our member businesses have a full slate of activities planned. Our retail shops are offering new fall merchandise, tasty homemade baked goods, Husker gear, wines at the end of the summer concert season, and much more. Bloom Where You're Planted Farm's Pumpkin Festival begins soon, and plans are underway for the Weeping Water Fall Festival Sept. 29. See our Calendar of Events page for a full listing of events.
One of our most popular events is the "Get Spooked in the Valley" cemetery scavenger hunt scheduled October 13th to November 3rd. We're planning a "BOO-GO" (think BINGO) game with great prizes and a t-shirt for everyone who completes the challenge. Watch this page or our Facebook page for full details coming soon, and make plans to Visit the Valley this fall!
Not far from the city, the Scenic Weeping Water Valley overflows with things to do year-round—from theater, music, wine tasting and museums to the thrill of racing, golf in the beautiful countryside, quaint shops, dining, and camping. We have something for everyone! www.VisitTheValley.org
